These days I rarely start a project without hemming and hawing over it for a few days/weeks/months. I started Kahel about three weeks ago and finished it a few days after SAFF. It's a lovely shawl pattern, but it's not a pattern for folks who are uncomfortable with charts. The basics of the pattern (without any spoilers!) is a set of brief written instructions, roughly one paragraph long, and four charts that aren't for the faint hearted.
That said, I loved this project with this yarn. The charted pattern repeats became almost like muscle memory for me and I was whizzing along like gangbusters.
I made my shawl from Anzula For Better or Worsted which is probably the most buttery, shiny, and glowing yarn I've ever put my hands on.
